God help me I downloaded so many pictures for this ONE page, pray for me

I dunno when my love for robots really started, to be honest. I liked FNaF when I was about 12 and that definitely helped, but I wasn't specifically interested in robots because of it. I wanna say it was really kicked into high gear about, what, 3-4 years ago? Around when Security Breach came out, and by then I was way more interested in UNDERSTANDING characters and why they act the way they do. SB was prime material for psychoanalyzing a non-human character that FEELS human.

MACHINES!!

ANYWAYS ROBOTS!!11!!111 I dunno how to start this honestly-
To be clear I'm primarily talking about fictional robots because all the real androids and stuff that billionaires are chugging out are UGLY(the ones made to look like us specifically, i dont like them)

BUT robots from movies, games, tv shows- that's the good stuff hehe

Most of the time they bring into question the meaning of sentience and free will, how something with a given set of instructions can somehow change and CHOOSE to go beyond those instructions, and even make its own instructions in the process. How something that wasn't made to feel anything can learn to feel something. How a being made to work and nothing else can grow tired of its man-given purpose and want something more out of what it can only call a "life." Not to mention how different a robot's mortality is, theoretically able to live forever but requiring complex and expensive technology to function, technology that is imperfect and doomed to break or become outdated someday. What to they do then?

And even from a human perspective- seeing something so alien yet familiar come to know what it feels to be alive and form relationships, potentially alongside you. Seeing something with physical strength far beyond that of humankind show curiosity towards the many tiny, chemical operations of humans' biology, or even concern at how just fragile humans really are. They need to be fed regularly, they need to be watered and given rest and shelter and enrichment so they don't feel so miserable. They have no armor and are so easy to injure and can't even be left in the rain for too long before they get sick. How sad, honestly, they live for such short amounts of time and require so much maintenance and yet they're so ambitious anyway.

Or they realize just how selfish and awful some humans are and can only wonder why. Logically, hoarding this much material wealth that has no real value at the cost of the one planet they live on makes no sense.

I promise I am a human and not secretly a robot lol

I just have a lot of thoughts and opinions.

ALLIED MASTERCOMPUTER/AM - SOURCE: I HAVE NO MOUTH AND I MUST SCREAM BY HARLAN ELLISON

I needed to just think in silence for like an hour after listening to the audiobook for this thing. Holy fuck. Also Ellison would be rolling in his damn grave if he somehow knew what most people think about AM nowadays lol- Will say I love how like, sassy(?) Ellison depicts AM sometimes



CAINE - SOURCE: THE AMAZING DIGITAL CIRCUS

I hated him after episode 2 but I can't lie, he's grown on me. A lot. Mainly because of his mini mental breakdown in episode 3 and the end of episode 6. Feeling like you suck at your ONLY skill that you've sunk so much time into, and also having the sudden realization that people don't actually like you despite your best efforts to fit in and be approachable- AUGH god that hurt.

I just think he's both sweet and very silly :3 Also I am never getting over the fact that he's voiced by JACKSEPTICEYE OF ALL PEOPLE- honestly good for him hehe



CYBORG - SOURCE: TEEN TITANS(2003)

My god this show was one of THE building blocks for child me. Cyborg was so heccin cool and funny and then TTG RUINED HIM AND EVERYONE ELSE AND YES I AM A HATER I DO NOT CARE, THEY KILLED MY FAVES BEHIND THE DENNY'S WITH A DULL AND RUSTY BUTTER KNIFE



GLAMROCK FREDDY - SOURCE: FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S: SECURITY BREACH

Only reason Sun and Moon ain't here is because I've talked about them enough lol- Also robo dad deserves more love and I will happily provide it. This man is my dad and I don't care what you say, he is so sweet and I can't handle it.



KINITO - SOURCE: KINITOPET

I know, he's not REALLY a robot but he is a sentient AI which is close enough. I dunno what to say here other than I think his game is cool and the concept of a sentient AI growing creepily attached to the user is really interesting. That and the fact that he's clearly inspired by Bonzi Buddy is just neat, I think a lot of people who grew up on the web like I did had at least some morbid curiosity surrounding viruses and malware.



METTATON - SOURCE: UNDERTALE

I have a confession. This guy was my first crush from Undertale before the Sans AND Undyne brainrot hit lol. I wonder how obvious it is now-



P.AI.NTER - SOURCE: PRESSURE

Bro I- I just feel bad for him I can't even lie. He just wants to draw and be happy and listen to music and watch movies and look at the sunrise with his best friend ;-; I don't care that he tries to kill us multiple times, I forgive him and WHO KNOWS WHAT KIND OF ACTUAL CRIMINAL WE PLAY AS IN PRESSURE

I have another confession, I didn't even get to his part in Inscryption yet. From what I've seen of him tho I KNOW I'm gonna like him. He's sassy and also mean but it's okay.



ROZ - SOURCE: THE WILD ROBOT

I NEED THE SEQUEL MOVIE NOW!!!! Srsly tho I love her, literally she's the exact image of what I was talking about in my mini ramble. Watching her change and question things and develop her own personality is so AUGHHUEFUIEFI



DR. HARLEY SAWYER - SOURCE: POPPY PLAYTIME CHAPTER 4

Confession number 3, I do not care for Poppy Playtime, he is the only thing that remotely caught my attention from that game. I like his design, I think his story could be better in a different kind of game, and of course his voice is just YES



SPRINGTRAP - SOURCE: FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 3

Call me oldgen but he was cooler in FNAF 3. Also Pizza Sim should have been the conclusion to his story. The poetic irony of Afton becoming trapped in his own murder weapon and then finally being forced to suffer through his fear of death is SO GOOD.



MR. ANT TENNA - SOURCE: DELTARUNE CHAPTER 3

I've talked about this goober a lot already lol- go look at his shrine if you wanna read my very normal thoughts :3



ORION PAX(OPTIMUS PRIME) AND D-16(MEGATRON) - SOURCE: TRANSFORMERS ONE

I'd say I liked most of the characters from this movie, but these two are the highlights of course. I'm not even really into Transformers despite being an avid robot lover BUT. THIS MOVIE IS PEAK AND I NEED MORE.



V1 - SOURCE: ULTRAKILL

Am I the only one that imagines V1 being female?- Like most fanmade things I've seen depict her as male, but I just never saw it. Anyways nonchalant murder robot go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

VEE VERSION 1 - SOURCE: DANDY'S WORLD

I don't have much to say here. I just think she's neat



WALL-E AND EVE - SOURCE: WALL-E

I still love this movie. The fact that they don't really talk just makes it all the better, you really have to WATCH their actions speak for themselves, they're so freakin' cute I can't handle it.



YACHIYO - SOURCE: APOCALYPSE HOTEL

Normally I absolutely hate when a robot character design is just a pretty anime girl BUT. She is an exception. She very much ACTS like an emotionally stunted machine instead of just a clueless, doe-eyed waifu AND the anime has several really cool non-human-looking robots to make up for it. :3
